“Wow!
Haha, after my first 5 seconds I was in awe of your creation!
I’m such a anal YZ fan, it’s embarrassing, this has buzzed me all day whilst riding, I think this mod would of saved me a fortune had it been the first, also having said that it’s the final piece of the puzzle for my engine mods, it’s pieced it all together.
The product, the installation guidance, and the support have been second to none.
There is no YZ owner that doesn’t need this mod.”

"I must say, I was very impressed with the packaging. And your videos were extremely helpful with clearing up any questions I had.
-I was absolutely amazed at how smoothly the shaft rotates compared to the OE set up.
-It is unreal how much more smooth and efficient the power valve operates!
The violent hit was gone. Instead the power still came on strong but manageable and somehow continued to pull higher than OE before signing off.
-I was originally expecting the stiffer governor spring to “neuter” the iconic strong mid range of the YZ and just push the power valve to only operate at high rpm’s. The results were COMPLETELY not what I was expecting. The bottom and mid range were not neutered, they were actually enhanced.
-The power valve feels like it allows the engine to move the air more efficiently through a broader power band and impressively still pulls higher than OE.
-I was fully prepared for my bike to feel similar to a TPI bike. Smooth, almost electric power delivery with zero hit and leaving much to be desired down low. But instead I still have a bike with exciting mid range, but with smooth predictable power higher into the rev range.
I feel like this is how Yamaha should have engineered this engine to efficiently move air.
I’m very impressed with your product. Good work."

"I got your kit, which looks amazing by the way.
I went out this passed Sunday,
All I can say is wicked, @#$%@# wicked
The bike is now like how it’s supposed to be off the showroom floor.
Smooth, I could tell it runs off the engine governor now 100%
My bike is deadly, the final piece to my puzzle
This bike is an absolute killer
Thanks so much"

"So I regularly take part in time card events, total ride time is 4hours, you regularly race against the same individuals and I’ve commonly finished 2nd, 3rd or fourth, the special “test” you ride each lap and is a timed section, this would normally take about 6-8minutes ( you probably know all this) but anyway I started the first lap good and I found myself getting faster and faster, I thought about this on my way home, my thoughts throughout the race was just concentrating on form, weighting the pegs, body position and recording track details, I’ve not been able to do this on this bike before and I knew this is what I was missing, This is a result of Hitlis!
I no longer have to worry about the engine and what it’s doing, I know what it’s doing! It then becomes a subconscious Action.
The result was my first win in class, unbelievable! But it wasn’t a win it was a destruction, I belonged in another class! this one competitor who would always beat me, last time by only a second in the special test, this time I beat him by almost thirty seconds! This was within a 6 minute test, a serious improvement.
You mentioned going back to a higher compression head and this is the exact same thought I had on the way home, my other thought was how much better your clutch work becomes, it’s so much easier! Out of corners, going up hills and blipping to go over obstacles, Instead of getting 100% of the power you get 20,40,60,80,100%, it’s up to YOU! and it’s so easy to manage now!
I can’t wait to go out again this weekend, knowing I’ve got the bike that I’ve been piecing together and that I can now get the results with. It makes it all worth it, honestly! I was about to give up with it.
To say I’m thankful and impressed just wouldn’t be enough to do this product justice."

"Everything in the kit was well organized and in a plastic lure box. The machine work on the parts was first class. The installation was very straight forward.
After warming the bike up I did about 9 or 10 rips up and down my street. The abrupt hit is gone (hence the product name).
The bike is smoother and was definitely easier to ride in the single track. It just has a long, smooth pull. Not unlike a 4 stroke, but more lively. The bike also sounds different.
It's smoother but has just as much horse power as before. A big hit can make you think it has more power when it doesn’t. The abrupt hit will light up the back tire or pull the front wheel in the air. It also tires you out quicker.
The HITLIS puts more power to the ground. I was having so much fun that I ran it out of gas and was happy for the reserve.
Most of the aftermarket stuff you buy for a YZ makes it run the same or worse. This actually works."

"Firstly, amazing product! Great piece of engineering and much needed modification. I’ve watched the videos, they are great and fully detailed.
I’ve not long ago completed another yz 250 woods build, after owning 3 other yz 250s I built this one piecing the best bits I have done before into this bike but the power valve opening has been a hurdle that has yet to be fully solved, this has always caused grip issues whilst hill climbing and in muddy conditions.
I’ve had a smile from ear to ear ever since I let the clutch out today. It’s smooth, predictable and useable, gives a torquey feel throughout the build up and I love it! I find myself asking, is there any need for any of the other mods?
I can’t compliment Productive Power enough for this idea, service, and the communication is great."

"This HITLIS mod is top notch.
I spent tons of money on different mods but if I had the option long ago to the HITLIS I wouldn’t have bothered doing anything else other then just rip the trails etc.
Super happy, smiling and having a great ride, wanting it to not end!
I love how smooth and controllable the bike is now, it tractors so awesome, I love my YZ285X BB set up, she rips"

"The HITLIS is definitely not slow. It’s more connected to the ground without the violent wheelspin, each gear seemed to pull longer.
On my test loop, there is one hill that you have a hard left out of a ravine, then a loose rocky uphill with two stairsteps at the top. Until the HITLIS, I could not get enough drive up the hill to hit the first stair step and clear the second one. I could on my 4T. Now I can clear it on my YZ. Ha, no need to discuss how a 20 yr old YZ is competitive with a very expensive '22 "modern 4T”!
I increased the preload this past weekend. No power loss, you have an even more linear powerband, just keep twisting the throttle for more power. It felt like “traction control” and it pulls strong between corners. Whoops, it’s great. Able to stay on the gas and in control. Top speed improved, and heart rate went down substantially."

"I think all the bike magazines should do a review with this product! And expose it for what it is!
Words can’t even describe how good this makes the bike work, Tim with HITLIS wasn’t joking when he said this should be the first mod you do to the bike.
I’ve messed around with these Yamahas for a long time, and I consider my bike to have been pretty dialed for my style of riding/ trails, hills etc, But when I added the HITLIS Woods kit and rode it last Sunday, you couldn’t wipe the smile off my face literally.
With this set up now the governor controls the power valve and you can tell right away how smooth and controllable the power is. Don’t get me wrong it’s not weak, it’s far from that! The power is smooth, predictable, with a nice linear not abrupt spike in powerband.
Hats off to the HITLIS team. This product kicks a**!"

"I received my kit. Nice package and instructions.
The HITLIS pulls 2nd gear out of tight corners without any clutch work. After that the power is just so smooth and strong, it transitions to “on the pipe” and stays straight and connected to the ground. No rear end dancing and going everywhere fighting for control. I can be on the pipe in area 3 of a corner now, before it was area 4 or completely out of the corner. I'm staying in control and already set up and in position for the next corner. My tracks between corners was only about 1’ wide, in the past it was 3’ wide after a short session on this bike. So I’m more in control, similar to what I experience on a 4T, which is why for the last 8 years a 250F with a big bore kit has been my primary enduro bike. So far I'm thinking this is going to change that."
Let customers speak for us
from 53 reviewsI actually did a video on this product and I really wish this would have been around when I first had the YZ250: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vNxSZa9Fmx4&t=1s
The hit on the YZ turns into controllable pull from bottom to top, you don't really lose anything on top you just get there in a more predictable fashion. The bike doesn't become more 4 stroke like it's more of a feeling like a mix between the power curve of a TPI and a TBI KTM.
The installation is fairly easy and the install videos cover every conceivable encounter you may face installing the product. Also the support and insight from the developer along with their interest in following up with users of the Hitlis system is refreshing as it is helpful.
I would put this improvement as one of the most dramatic changes you can do to your bike off the bat and highly recommend it.
Took about a 1hr to install. Everything when smooth. I suggest get a set of extra gaskets. And governor bearings. Just incase. Taking it out on my first ride I could tell instantly the smooth power delivery. I do a lot of hard enduro riding. And finding traction and control the bike is a lot easier. 100% a must on a YZ250X
Well for anyone who is interested in a YZ295 BB Hitlis review here's one: The HITLIS set up is awesome! It is noticeably healther off the bottom/mid and provides impressive overrev. In summary the bike feels 10lbs lighter cuz it just responds so effortlessly with strong power thru the entire RPM range. I don't know what to say but it's so impressive, respectfull power but so predictable and linear. For example on a decent cat litter deep DG climb behind my buddy on a KTM 350 EXC-F Six Days with the same rear tire both at 12 psi, the YZ closed in and had to pass at the top of the climb cuz the HITLIS was pulling 4th gear tractoring while the 350 was searching for grip. I find this set up so impressive with a combination of super responsive throttle response for blipping doubles over random whoops or rock/log features while a gear higher than usual to just rolling the power on a climb or straight and the front end just hovers, with predictable coorelation to the right wrist. I've got over 70 hours and counting on my HITLIS 295. So impressed with the useable power, and reliability. When you want the bike to do something and it just response without hesitation and the performance becomes an organic extention of your intentions... that's a game changer for me! Sorry for the ramble but it's pretty sik and I needed to tell someone... Thanks to the crew at Productive Power... the future looks bright!
My bike is put together and running great! I actually found myself being much more confident on the HITLIS YZ than my 2023 300 XC. Last week my dad and I were able to fill his bull elk tag. I ended up packing out the whole thing on my HITLIS bike! In total I rode 33 miles of single track in the mountains carrying 80lbs of elk at a time. The smooth powerband was definitely the key to success trying to ride with all of that weight. If you can't tell, I'm a big fan! I've been trying to talk my other YZ buddies into pulling the trigger and ordering HITLIS for their bikes. I'm hoping that they'll be convinced when they finally get to ride mine.
Finally got out on the bike today. Ran pretty sweet. Left the xc dome and flywheel weight installed. Bikes a total tractor. I can see how guys would want to go back to the mx dome. I think for my type of riding I'm gunna keep it as is for the moment. The traction and rev control is off the charts. Like I everyone else I found myself running a gear higher (3rd in the flowy tight stuff) and overall feeling smoother. Way less clutch work. Thanks for the great product. Looking forward to getting some more time on it.
I rode my YZ250 with the HITLIS today on a short, jumpy Vet MX track.
It definitely doesn't neuter the power of the bike. It just seems to make the powerband more 'linear' and for me, the bike is more controllable in the higher revs. I was using the upper powerband more in 2nd and 3rd... letting it rev out.
Before, I would shift early to calm the bike down in turns and not have much torque available coming out of the turns. The power comes on so much more linearly its easier for me to control the bike in the upper revs in third now.
The bike has plenty off idle torque and the power is just more manageable. This bike is a beast. It makes me want to ride it more, that's the definition of fun. I swear, I was ready to buy a four stroke this fall for MX. I thought I would try the HITLIS before I dropped $10K on a new bike. Nice job on the HITLIS system.
I'm blown away. The power is always there at the opening of the throttle. Took it to around 10,000rpm and it kept wanting to pull. There was no light switch feeling accelerating or decelerating. The YZ just put power to the ground wherever I was in the rpm range and would lift up the front wheel on command. The HITLIS is the real deal and probably the only mod to put on. This YZ is deceivingly fast and much stronger than a well jetted stock 250. Third gear torque monster(Growl of a 300), super fast , never ending power and pulls forever. Let me tell you... The sound!! Everybody comments on the sound! Rode a good portion of the day... No Fatigue. The bike is just so enjoyable to ride! An absolute beast! Absolutely enamored with it. I really don't know how you could improve it. It's super fast and smooth, I don't get tired at all. Hands down the HITLIS is the best & only mod to install. Thank you again for a fantastic product.
Just took the bike out on her maiden voyage with the Hitlis. I'm impressed. Didn't notice anything missing down low. Actually had quite the surge around 1/8 throttle before I turned the air screw in a bit. After that... wow. Power came on pretty quick but it felt electric. Smooth but powerful all the way to the top. No more light switch on the power valve. No power was sacrificed either, top end still screams. I was comparing it to my buddies Sherco SE 250 who was out there riding with me today. The Yz's power comes on noticably quicker but the power band feels darn near as linear now. We were both smiling at how the bike is feeling now. The YZ felt like it had a lot more balls to it. Made the Sherco feel tame in comparison, even though it's at a higher compression ratio. I think the bike is absolutely dialed now. Love the way it's feeling. Threw in a pic of the ride so you can live through me today if you don't get the chance to ride yourself. Great job on this kit sir! Thanks for everything!
I'm blow away with the improvement. It doesn't take anything away from the bike only makes it better. It's soooo strong now. My buddy came off his 23 300xc and couldn't believe how much power my bike had. He was blown away, it is a 300 killer. Lugs like nobody's business and screams up top. I can access the power easier than before. It allows you to have as much power as you desire, it's your choice. You can tickle a little bit of PV open or a lot depending on how much throttle you give instead of getting none or all the power. I recently placed 3rd in the 30+ B class. I never race, so I could have gone faster with some practice. The bike pulled so smooth and consistent at every throttle opening. It was magic. The HITLIS was a game changer in those tight sand tracks. It was smooth as a 4 stroke but had quick power unlike a 4 stroke. I was faster on it and less fatigued at the end of the day. Almost feels like smoother suspension because the bike is so nice and controllable. I've been running the HITLIS for a few months now. What a sweet system it is. You just forget about it and just flow. Great traction at all RPMS, I'm faster with the HITLIS system installed. The bike is an absolute monster and really screams. I can't praise it highly enough. Simply genius product and a must have. It really unlocks the bike's potential. All the other mods are going in the trash. I think people that get a new bike should just put the HITLIS on and call it good. The HITLIS and 40 power jet make it the perfect bike. It's the real deal.
I would have to say that for the seamless power delivery that I was looking for it has been money better spent than cylinders, head work, pipes and all the springs, shims, governor balls etc that I have tried
Love it! Completely manageable use of the power now! YZ head gave me a bunch of bottom end now, love it! I swear the bike is faster than my TX 300 now.Thank you and you make a great product!
The bike is unreal! I rode a mix of tight techy hard Enduro-ish trails and fast single track and the bike works good everywhere. The traction is unreal. A buddy on a husky 300 was complaining about his tires. We have the same tire set up and I had zero issues. The bike hooks up. Was able to creep up everything with 14/48 which is awesome for me. Very smooth on the road too. That's definitely a huge plus in my book. This bike is amazing now.
I installed the kit a few days ago and took it riding. I'm absolutely loving it and how the power comes on now. The sudden hit in the powerband has been something that's been making me hesitate while riding. After installing this kit, I noticed my riding started to become more efficient and there's less hesitation. My bike is stock other than the Hitlis system.
The desert kit is perfect. I don't have to clutch the power on, just roll in throttle as needed. It feels more like the stock set up, but with your actuator configuration, which is far superior in function. The guy following me yesterday commented on my lack of wheel spin given our pace. And noticed how well it would lug through tight stuff and then take off with great traction. I feel like it rides more like it did stock, but it's so much smoother and steady in power delivery with the set up.
The kit comes well organized and is easy to install. All parts are top notch quality and the new design is much better than the OEM version. I absolutely loved the HITLIS on the track! The power delivery is smooth over the entire range and the low end response is better too. I found myself clutching the bike a lot less and often running a gear higher, due to the improved low end out of corners. As the revs come up the mid range and top end is fantastic! The bike pulls and pulls, the top end is amazing! It's super versatile for both track, trail and woods. I find in deep sand I can manage the power better with consistent throttle for the speed I'm looking for. No more on/off power delivery while searching for drive without constant wheel spin. I rode a mixture of fast open desert, tight single track and climbs today. I couldn't be happier with how the bike performs. I often have arm pump issues and I realized today that was almost gone. Fatigue/arm pump is noticeably less for me with the HITLIS. Clearly the "smoothed out" power delivery has a big effect on fatigue and "ride-ability." That said, the HITLIS system does not give up anything in overall power. If you want it it's there and the power just builds as you ask for it. The bike feels very, very strong. A little background on why I first decided to try this........... I've been having an issue for some time breaking the PV knob where the holder makes contact. (I've broken 3 of them and the last one only lasted for 12 hours). After much expense at $230 a pop and replacement of almost all PV parts the problem still existed. That led me to Tim and his new HITLIS system. Since switching to the HITLIS, I have no more PV issues. It's a great mod and that little knob that always breaks on the PV at the holder is no longer needed. It definitely solved my chronic PV issues, I've ridden mine quite a bit now with no issues whatsoever. It's a massive improvement over stock. The HITLIS is a no gimmick mod. Congrats to Tim on a great upgrade and I'd highly recommend this to anyone wanting make their YZ250 better. The HITLIS system and the power jet 40 mod's he came up with, are in my mind the two best mods you can do to improve a YZ250. Love the HITLIS!
