I've had this kit for about a year now, I never got round to installing it because I thought it was too tricky to install. I'm new to bike mechanics and didn't want to mess up an already amazing bike, 2022 fantic xx250. Took me around 7 hours to install and I ran into a couple problems. I almost got the governor stuck in the case linkage that holds it in place so make sure you pull that lever up and get that gear sitting right when re-installing the governor! I also nearly lost all the ball bearings when installing that little pin that holds the spring tension so be careful at that part too. I used 0.7mm shims with the desert kit as I mainly ride sand tracks, had the kit installed for 3 rides now on 2 different tracks. What a difference it makes! I have way more fun on the bike because i get less tired then can push harder and go faster. The chassis feels much more forgiving over bumps, the traction is better as you can control the power much more efficiently. My confidence on the bike has gone from a 6/10 to 9/10 from corner entry to exit, jumps, controling the front wheel to wheelie bumps or just placing it exactly where it's supposed to be. There is a huge difference over the standard power valve, the power is almost the same as before where it's still really fast and takes off when you're on the throttle but the difference in the low to mid range is where this kit really shines. Hitlis powervalve picks up really well off bottom end but there is no bogging it just pulls smoothly in any gear, 4th round corners no problem it will just start accelerating, hit that same corner in 2nd and the over rev is just awesome it just won't stop pulling! Would definitely highly recommend this kit to anyone with a yz250 or xx250, works well at low speed or high speed there is just way more precision with this kit.
